Jim Dobie Photography is an Edmonton based architectural photography studio founded in 2008 with a vision of providing excellence in architectural and interior design photography services to architects, interior designers, builders, consulting engineers and developers from across Canada and the United States.

Jim brings a unique perspective to his architectural photography. Having worked exclusively in private architectural offices for several decades, Jim understands what designers are expecting when commissioning photography of their projects. Unlike many photographers, architectural and interior photography is the cornerstone of Jim’s business. His skills have been honed over a lifetime of passion for excellence in architectural photography and research into the methods and means implemented by many of the genres world’s best photographers.

Jim’s portfolio is broad and diverse featuring projects of all sizes and type. Whether the subject building is a heavy industrial site in remote Alberta or a corporate office in downtown Edmonton, Jim is committed to presenting every project in the best possible way and to delivering high quality images in an efficient and timely manner.

Many of Jim’s images have appeared in newspapers, industry periodicals, websites, promotional materials, and books. Additionally, Jim’s photographs have been successfully used in architectural award submissions and many are hanging on the walls of major design and construction company offices across North America.
